Bulsho Kaab Project Graduation Ceremony

The Somali Center for Education and Consultancy (SCEC), through the Bulsho Kaab Resilience Project, under the Promoting Climate-Resilient Food Security Project-#CFSP, funded by Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ Somalia in partnership with #SCEC, successfully graduated 200 graduates included 100 participants in Vocational Skills Training (60 in Cooking & Baking and 40 in Solar Energy) and 100 participants from Entrepreneurship Training (Cohort II), in #Baidoa.

The project strengthens community resilience by promoting Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), climate-resilient livelihoods, food security, entrepreneurship, and market-driven vocational skills, empowering vulnerable youth, women, IDPs, returnees, and host communities with practical skills and economic opportunities.

The graduation ceremony brought together representatives from government institutions, financial institutions, the private sector, civil society organisations, and development partners, who congratulated the graduates and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting employment, entrepreneurship, market access, and financial inclusion. Among the participants was a member from #CRSD team who too congratulated and inspired the candidates for their outstanding commitment during their studies and wished them success in their future endeavors.

Graduates also shared inspiring success stories, highlighting how the training has enabled them to secure employment, start businesses, generate income, and improve their livelihoods.

The event concluded with the awarding of certificates and the announcement that vocational start-up kits will be distributed on 29 July 2026 to help graduates launch and grow their own businesses.

#SCEC sincerely thanks #BMZ, #GIZ #Somalia, and all partners and stakeholders for their continued collaboration in building resilient, self-reliant, and economically empowered communities across Southwest State of Somalia.
