Peace is not simply the absence of conflict, it is the presence of opportunity, justice, and dignity for all. Guided by this belief, through #SHIR & #CFSP Projects we`re working transformative programs in Baidoa with funding from Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implementing by Deutsche Gesellschaft fรผr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in partnership with Somali Center for Education and Consultancy (SCEC).

Together we`re empowering IDPs, returnees, and host communities by promoting climate resilience, enhancing disaster preparedness, ย improving food security, supporting women and youth with skills and opportunities, by tackling poverty, unemployment, and exclusion, we are addressing the root causes of conflict and building the foundations of lasting peace in the Southwest State and across Somalia.

On this special day, we honor the strength of communities in the Southwest State who despite challenges of conflict, displacement, and climate change, continue to strive for a better future. We call on everyone, locally and internationally, to act now, to invest in peace, and to ensure that equality, sustainability, and human dignity guide our collective journey.
